Mahal lage pero 99.99% UP-TIME performance man xad...

    Ang Asterisk? ? Freeware/Open-Source... pero ang performance ? ?

HP Proliant pa gani ang server diri.. Linux environment. cge lang mig hard reboot everytime ma down ang polycom phones... faettt....

Yes bro! ana jud nang Open-source... you rely on what scripts YOU put in it..

it is open-source tungod kay pwede ka mag buot2x unsa imu buhaton sa server..

    AVAYA forever....

here's my personal experience, no doubt avaya is a good system, we have installed a few for the past years, and systems are still running up to now... the problem is the cost, i agree with nailv, only few and enterprise company can afford one.

5 years ago I could say what nailv said, but right now opensource/asterisk change the ball game in communications... it can now be compared to what others in the enterprise communication can do. PEACE BRO...

With this I leave you with a qoute:

"…an average of 80 percent of mission-critical application service down time is directly caused by people or process failures. The other 20 percent is caused by technology failure, environmental failure or a disaster." -Gartner-

telecom team will investigate this issue kay sa tanan sites ang cebu ra ang cge ka ing ani.. gi integrate man gud ni sa nila Avaya PBX system ang asterisk.. ang Avaya molabay ug calls sa Asterisk then vice versa.. kay knanglan trunkline ang Cebu site.. di pwede ang Avaya kay wala mi PBX server diri.. Naa sa U.S. tanan servers.. so ang Asterisk ang gi configure for cebu trunkline number.

pero still,, no other VoIP system can match Avaya's performance,, even Cisco VoIP are NO match with Avaya.. Cisco is only for data. NO match with voice. Naa ko lain thread gi post ani nga section,,, basaha to... gikan to sa mga senior VoIP engineers from Linkedin.com

for critical telephony applications.. Avaya jud ang maayo.. infact naay thread sa linkedin.com comparing avaya vs. cisco and others.
I've been an avaya engineer since 2004... user pud ko ug asterisk..
altho my avaya runs on a cisco network.. and preha with most others..

either avaya or asterisk.. naa gihapoy downtime.. sa avaya mostly trunk downtime (telco related and/or network related issues, usahay hardware issue).
akong asterisk hosted (vps) sa US and naa dapoy downtime altho minimal lang.

comparing avaya to asterisk is like comparing apple to orange so dili jud match.

if naay budget ang company nya critical ang requirement avaya nalang.. infact naay namaligya karon ug refurbished avaya (G3R lang noon) and been using it to extend my corporate locals to 2000.. am using S85xx for the call center w/ CMS & Verint voice recording.

if anyone need a refurbished avaya i can help you but it's not recommended for call centers.. pang office locals lang noon w/ a ACD..

Asterisk is just used for my integration experiment.. if anyone also need a cheaper linux VPs ($2.95 a month), i can also help

i wish there's a pinoy group for all things telephony (avaya or asterisk) helping each other sa mga configuration, issues, troubleshooting, etc and job hiring... been a member of some groups but mostly dili mga pinoy ang naa.

Mga master please give me an idea how can I connect an analog telephone line to asterisk.
We are just a small company and don't want to purchase PABX. Bali ang isa ka line himuan nako ug mga extension, is this possible.
Please let me know kinsa naa idea. Thanks mga master

nope not really expensive... naa na pud for small business ang Avaya they called it IP Office capable of call center functionality up to 140 seats. straight forward iyang licensing dili parehas sa uban nga you need 3 licenses for the server then 2 licenses sa end points uya modaghan ang license kung gmait ka 3rd party SIP end points.
