    I'll answer the first question.

There are several ways to learn about stock market.

    1. Self study (e.g. read blogs, personal finance books, etc.)

Personal recommendations: Rich Dad, Poor Dad; My maids invests in the stock market, and why you should too. There's a lot of good reads out there.

    2. Try asking questions through IMG members.

Sis, first, you should set goals and time horizon. Know your reasons/purpose in investing and how long would you want to invest. This will be your guide. Now, bullish jud ang market. Any blue chips you buy, musaka jud. But how about during bearish market? So, my advice is i unaha sa ang reasons.

I think na answer na sa ato fellow istoryans uban nimo questions. Regarding sa simulator apps, I'm not sure kung naa ha. But you can visit col's website kay naa man sila free 7 day trial.

Regarding sa stocks, mu agi jud ka ug broker. Ang most convenient is online stock broker like col, unitrade, etc. Or through sad mutual fund companies like philequity, fami, etc. Though dili directly, but medyo similarly pud.

    Default Stock Trading vs Investing

I just opened an account last December 20 on Citisec and until now, naghuwat pa ko nga maclear ang check. Well, anyway, while waiting, I'm keeping an eye on several companies. I had SMC and SM on my list and medyo nasayangan ko sa time nga hinuwat kay pwerte ang saka sa SMC ug SM. Hard lesson learned: I will go for bank to bank transfer or hand over cash directly to Citisec (kung makaadto sa Manila) rather than issuing a check. Time is money.

While waiting, nagduwa ko ug Virtual Tycoon and in a month of playing, nabalikan ko ug 15%. Playing the game made me understand how investing and trading is done and a little about understanding the market.

Well, anyway, for those who are new in the stock market and who are interested in venturing into the stock market, investing is another good option other than trading. Kung kinsa to ang mga naghold diha, tapok ta diri.

May we all have a very prosperous 2011 ahead!
Thanks for this thread. You're actually the first person that I know mga nakabalo nga lahi ang stock trading sa investing. Naay akong mga nakaistoya before, they kept on insisting nga pareho ra lagi na. But according to my stock market mentor, para sa mga experts sa stocks ra gyud ang trading. They should from time to time check the ups and downs sa charts aron sila ma-successful sa stock market. And it's very risky so I really am not into it.
