What I would do:
1. Do a continous ping on the RDP server
2. Try to use different user, see if it replicates the issue or resolve it (as per other istoryan mentioned, other user maybe trying to connect under the same account thus disconnecting the previous user)
3. Check RDP services if it is started
4. Check if AV is updated, patches, etc.
5. Check permissions on the server, they should be a member of a remote access group or similar.
just my 2 cents
Unsa inyo gamit nga bandwidth monitoring? Ganahan ta ko ma monitor ang bandwidth usage per user. Unsa inyo ma suggest?
Currently ma monitor ra nako is overall bandwidth usage using cacti via SNMP.
BTW, ako device is CISCO-ASA5505
Have you looked at netflow? There are a lot of free and paid tools ... Cisco IOS NetFlow - Freeware NetFlow Software - Cisco
I know people love the Cisco name, but there are other devices out there, paid and something you can build yourself. It may be better to replace it with something that gives you more flexibility that has built in monitoring. We have a 10gigabit fiber connection and although we still have Cisco at the core, we are currently replacing all our switches with HP/Aruba.
Your cisco appliance has the features to manage qos bandwidth passing in and out.
Here's the sample configuration below from exec mode..
access-list ip-qos extended permit ip X any
access-list ip-qos extended permit ip any X*
class-map qos
match access-list ip-qos
*
policy-map qos
class qos
police output 1000000
police input 1000000
*
service-policy qos interface X
