akong setup kai AVR > outlet with surge protector > UPS > network equipment + CPU
AVR = limot ko sa brand, less than 500 pesos (na pa dala sa shop kadto sunod2x ang brown out)
UPS = APC (sugod ang problema sa battery after 1 year, mother board issues after 5 years)

EATON UPS. Stay away from APC, they've been problematic recently.

I don't know about you man, but we have around 70 rackmount APCs. A few units don't reflect on all the units.

And I also have 5 consumer UPS at my house, 2 APC, 2 Cyberpower, 1 Tripp-lite. Age is really irrelevant, all batteries degrade with time. The only thing age tells you is older batteries won't last as long as newer batteries, not overall quality. Consumer batteries also do not differ from enterprise batteries. Enterprise batteries have more features and more capacity, but the battery technology is the same.

i have to vouch for this guy. been using APC for a while now, no issues so far. but its very subjective as you could get a bad product out of the thousands or millions of good ones but APC as a whole isn't the problem. sure there are other brands that may or may not be better but id still recommend APC.
