    Default Popping-up PAYMENT NOTICE Window

    Guys,

Every time i use Internet Explore, a Payment Notice window will pop up from time to time. It says that if i wnat this message to stop, i should buy at least 1 month subscription to their site/s.

I have a hunch it has something to do with windows messaging service.
to disable those pesky "ads" do this:

    1 click start, click run
    2 type services.msc
3 Look for Messenger, stop the service and set it to disable

that should resolve your issue. if you still have these symptoms after disabling the service.. then i suggest you do a spyware scan.

download and install Ad-Aware SE Personal r106 and Spybot Search and Destroy... surelly this software will detect that cookies and delete them...

another unsecured IE user. just a piece of advice if you want to keep your IE.

First, do a quick IE repair: type this in your run dialogue > rundll32 iesetup.dll,FixIE

Next, download Secure-it for an automated hardening of your IE and other vulnerable components of your machine: http://www.sniff-em.com/secureit.shtml

Lastly, update your windows HOST file: you can get one here http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

While you're working on a fix for IE, you can go ahead and use Firefox, available from www.mozilla.org. It has pretty much the same functionality as IE. I would then install a google toolbar (complete with pop up blocker) to prevent the majority of these pop up annoyances. A few will still show up, though. YMMV.

    Mga Kauban:

Thanks for all your advice. Bai! so far eto ang mga ginawa ko, 1) I've installed spybot search and destroy....and yes it had deleted many cookies, but symptoms still persists (the same popping payment notice and porn sites). 2) I tried to trash the IE shortcut and forget about it and used firefox instead.... yes it was good...temporarily, coz when i accessed my yahoo mails thru shortcut icon....Twang!!! there goes my pops again.
So what i did was - restore my system to an earlier date.... then update my antivirus and scan my PC and it catched an Adware GX. . So far so good, i did this just yesterday and until this post i never encountered the popping notice, and take note, i'm using Internet Explorer na.
But if the problem will still be back later i will be considering the tips that you (MGA KAUBAN) hve posted here.

Thanks a lot for your help. (by the way DSX is guapa - pede maibog? )
