nah... that'd be like asking for world peace (read: impossible).

Let the government dwell much in developments rather than politicts. The developements begin with proper education sector, where the citizens can attain proper education hence they are able to solve different crises they get involved on a daily basis. Corruption should be conrolled so that the elites who have focus may also get a chance to run the country.

voters should look at the politicians in position now.
    if none of them:
    - decreased unemployment
    - increased tax collection
    - created jobs
    - developed infrastructures for the community
then they should not be voted/re-elected in the next election, as simple as that.

This should be the criteria every election.

First timers should have a track record in his/her community:
    - provided assistance/help of any kind to the community.
    - willingly shared his skills and knowledge to the community.
    - not a burden to the community.

Valid ni. But exclusively for the 50k and up earners. Low-income earners' tax bracket should remain the same.

    - created jobs
Lisod ni kay in order to land a gov't job, one has to have a stronger network inside. This is true in most cases and we cannot deny this. The only way to generate jobs to the public is to kneel before the Chinese investors to put up more slavewaging type of work here. I hate to say this, but I rather sell taho/biko than having a direct Chinese boss who wouldn't acknowledge employee benefits.

    - developed infrastructures for the community
Valid ni. Assuming that no cost-cutting and bureaucracy involved. Contractor -> Sub Con -> naa pa gyud lain Sub Con.

    - decreased unemployment
politicians should work to increase employment among their constituents.
voters should look up to someone who created jobs or invited investors that created more jobs
if after 6years or 3years, unemployment increased and employment decreased...its time to go.
    no re-election for that politician(s).

    - increased tax collection.
by inviting investors and creating more jobs, taxes will increase.
of course, tax collection should also increase...else, something is wrong, its time to go.

    - created jobs
by creating an environment that encourages investors, more jobs will be created.

    - developed infrastructures for the community
increased tax collection contributes to developing infrastructure, else, its time to go.

so why would you vote for a politician who steered your boat the other way?
well, we hate corruption but if it is to our benefit we really love it very much.

These lockdowns highlight the serious flaw in the idea of a nanny state (i.e. a state that takes care of the people, instead of people taking care of themselves). Just take a look at the chaos and deficits surrounding aid to the poor. Do you seriously want that to be the state of affairs in our country? Life wasn't supposed to be easy. You have to scratch and claw and make good decisions to get to where you want to be. How come people think that the right government with the right messianic leader will get them out of poverty?

The role of the government, when it comes to addressing poverty, should be to open up market opportunities as wide as possible and to enable everyone to participate in it as free as possible. Nobody can get you out of poverty except yourselves. Take responsibility of your own lives. Don't wait for someone else to change your fate. We've had good and bad politicians that come and go; the successful ones in our country continue to thrive in spite of who is in charge of our government. The poor ones continue to hope for a messiah.

I see a lot of people commenting that the extension is needed.
I also see many contrarian claims.
What I haven't seen is that these same people don't seem to get that their lives are never going back to normal.
Our lives before 2020 is not coming back and we had better reflect on that now rather than being walled in for too long by the government's faux pas.

How can a working adult not be bothered at the thought of someone's company might not survive paying overheads without earning. And it's not just that, many mid-tier companies will follow suit and majority of these mid-tier companies are outsourced components from foreign parent corporations. Our dear country's "economy" (if you'd call it that way) relies heavily on this and let it be known that those companies will not be bailed out once the stocks are too fvcked beyond help. It's like let's all be poor, jobless and bankrupt and allow the government to supply our daily needs including the internet. Yes, that is equality in the literal sense of the word but I doubt filipinos are going to get by without thinking of consuming the common goods.

The chimping out is just around the corner. Once the low-income worker's resources are near depleted, we will see blood on the ground. Just sayin' ya know.
