the lechon suggestion was very good. you and your friend can be niche players in that field where you will supply cebu lechon in manila. not my choice of business but is still viable if you have the proper logistics. regarding those dried mangoes, there is a major source of mango juice (and of course dried mangoes) in guadalupe. u can make arrangements w/ the owners if u want to sell their dried mangoes (or the juice also) for them. just go to guadalupe and ask around. i think its owned by the go's. if you want to sell something that is more of a basic need, why not try noodles. i had an officemate before and their family is one of the major supplier or noodles in the visayas and mindanao. you may even try seashells. mindanao and visayas and good sources for these. im not sure though if there is great demand for these materials in manila. if your thinking of furnitures, cebu is a good source for furniture-making materials from rattan to certain types of wood. these are just some ideas. good or bad, i hope i dont get crucified.
