Naa pero mas lisud. I was able to obtain the ingredients pero grabe ako kalisud ug kakapoy. Ako ni suwayan ang DIY ferts on my next system.

You need.
Potassium nitrate - kini ang lisud pangitaon. You need to have a permit from PNP to be able to buy this kay bomb component ni... OR you can use influence to buy them. hehehe


Calcium nitrate - This is not a bomb component pero i think its also treated as such tungod lang kay naay nitrate. Nakapalit ko ani sa agrivet store sold as calnitro pero di ko sure kung mao ba gyud to. Sa ako experience, price ani is 45 for low grade pellets sa agrivet to 150 for tech grade na fine powder. Store in an airtight container because it sucks moisture from the air and forms a mess.

Potassium sulfate - 90 something per kilo last time i bought sa far east drugstore. Food grade to siya. A pain to dissolve in water.

Monopotassium phosphate - wala ko kita ani pero naay dipotassium phosphate sa far eastern drug. you need to dose around 25% more if using the dipotassium form. Store similar to calcium nitrate because of their moisture sucking property. Also known as monobasic or dibasic potassium phosphate

Magnesium sulfate - epsom salt. bisag asa ra ni mapalit.

Trace Nutes - I got mine here Planted Aquarium Fertilizer - Dry Fertilizers, Dry Fertilizers, Planted Aquarium Fertilizer - CSM+B Plantex, CSM+B Plantex, naka inquire ko nila, 11 USD ang shipping padung diri sa ato max 3 lbs. Naa unta sila KNO3 pero dili ma ship outside of the US. Naa pud sila iron DTPA 10% if your recipe is using it.

@ed168III , puede baya ang regular ferts as long as most of the nitrogen component is not urea or ammonia based. Then the next problem is, how much of the stuff to add.

The one sold here looks promising SNAP Hydroponics Nutrients Philippines - 1295175

According to the site, 75ml makes 10 liters of soln. That is quite economical.

i still need to ask them if this can be used with our regular tap. I think ang formulation nila is based on their local water which is very soft.

BTW, theres a comprehensive ebook about hydroponics you can download in the net.

Nope, ive never heard of it, is it one of those organic thinggies?
I did some reading and ended up with a recipe of 4 kilos plecostomus (janitor fish) + molasses and ferment it for 14 days. yuk.

I guess the stuff you will end up with the NFTS is for soil based culture right?

regarding urea. i got this from a site

As for Urea: No, it is generally not used by hydroponicly grown plants unless the water contains the enzyme "urease" which is present in soil to convert urea to ammonium ions that the plant can assimulate. So, in soil urea is eventually used. About the only way for the enzyme urease to be present in hydroponics is if it is added to the water somehow - either by containing large amounts of algae or has had other biological activity. I hope all this info helps.

but ive also come accross some experiments using urea on hydroponically grown crops. Im just too lazy to go through them so i dont have any inputs there. heheh

The tomatoes are bearing fruit but for some reason, wala pay ni ripen. The first fruit i noticed is around a week old na and is still green.

I saw that site and im planning to try it out since i have a grape styro box lying around but ill be using the nutes i have.
