    Default NBA draft 2007

    NCAA - Greg Oden

    Birthday: 1/22/1988
    NBA Postion: Center
    Class: Freshman
    Ht: 7-0
    Wt: 250
    College Team: Ohio State

    2006-2007 29.3 15.7 9.7 .7 2.0 .35 .5 3.4 2.4 .614 .636 .000 1.63

JR: Captured the 2004 TOC title and was named MVP. Offensively Greg Oden coming around and at this point, the word is out that Greg Oden a ridiculous talent who should be the No. 1 pick in the 2006 draft.

    NCAA - Kevin Durant

    Birthday:
    9/29/1988
    NBA Postion: Small Forward
    Class: Freshman
    Ht: 6-10
    Wt: 220
    College Team: Texas
    Hometown: Washington, DC
    High School: Montrose Chrstian
Stats this season : MIN PTS REB AST TO A/T STL BLK PF FG% FT% 3P% PPS

Remarkable touch from the outside when you think of his size. Will need to continue getting stronger to play against contact. Can handle both forward slots, though he's more comfortable on the outside facing up. Great length, good shot blocker. Has some Kevin Garnett to his game.

China - Yi Jianlian (20-year-old power forward)

    - During the CBA regular season, Yi showed quickness, strength and a good outside shot in averaging 25.5 points and 11.8 rebounds a game.
    - The seven-foot (2.12-metre) Yi is expected to be a top pick in June's NBA draft and has long been touted as the best player to come out of China since Yao Ming

It depends to the team that has the first pick to decide which of these guys is the best player in the draft pool. Right now, Greg Oden is the consensus no. 1 in the Draft, followed by Kevin Durant. The Chinese guy is best for picks #5-10, because there are still talented individuals that would fit into a team's system, i.e. Brandan Wright, AL Horford and Joaquim Noah.

If Boston goes first, they'll definitely get Oden. A Pierce/Jefferson/Oden nucleus is solid enough for them to have a better season next year. Kevin Durant is brilliant for the Celtics too, but nobody would want to pass up a solid big guy, who is dubbed as a player-who-can-turn-things-around since Tim Duncan. Besides, they have Ryan Gomes and Gerald Green who can fill the 3 position.

If Memphis goes first, they'll definitely get Oden. A Gasol/Miller/Oden combo could probably become one of the most solid frontcourt ever. And they have Warrick and Gay for the future. Right now, the PG department is old, and I guess a potent PG will make this team a contender. If the Grizz trade Gasol and get a great PG in return, then Memphis will not jst get back into the playoffs but establish a first-ever victory in the contention.

If Charlotte goes first, they get Oden. A combo of Okafor/Wallace/Oden is gonna make a lot of improvement for them.

If Milwaukee goes first, they'd get Kevin Durant. The Bucks have lost Simmons to injury and Patterson, later, to free agency. A group of Redd/Bogut/Durant will boost their offense should they get a better coach also.

If Atlanta goes first, Oden is a lock. A top 3 of JJ/JSmith/Oden would be a balance of offense and defense. My PIPEDREAM!!!

Anyway, if both Oden and Durant declares, Greg Oden would be No. 1 because a well defined big man is a rarity in NBA where there is a short talent of C's and PG's.

If none of them declares, it's a toss-up for Brandan Wright, Noah and Horford. I would take Spencer Hawes or Yi for my Hawks. Di ko ni NOah kay overrated. That's all.

Heehee... Nice. Arguably the best European guard prospect since Drazen Petrovic, if not better, says scout Stefan Lorenz of NBADraft.net. He's also compared to Hawks' great Pete Maravich. Projected as an undrafted choice lang. Should an NBA team claims his rights, he'll turn out to be another Manu Ginobili. Hehe...

PG ACIE LAW for the Atlanta Hawks, he's been upping his stock lately... mau unta ug makuha sa Hawks ang Pacers' pick!!! Maau unta ug mo-pick ug PG si GM Billy Knight. Gnahan jd cya mahimo ug Atlanta Forwards ang Hawks oi. Haskang...

He's slower than his brother Pau... he can bang a li'l, shoot a li'l, reboud a li'l, in the NBA. But if he ever gets that chance, he can establish himself as one of the league's solid backup centers. He's a project. Could end up like Nenad Krstic, but he's compared right now to Todd MacCulloch.

For me? He's either a solid backup groomed to be a journeyman or a bust.
