    actually they're boasting its P70 M ang gastos nila sa pelikula... so it should be good, production wise... this from an article in today's issue of the Malaya newspaper

    TWO fearless companies come together to produce the P70-million fantasy epic, “Exodus: Tales from the Enchanted Kingdom,” starring Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.

    Imus Productions, which has a tradition of producing blockbuster fantasy films, and Reality Entertainment, which is slowly creating a niche as producer of films of the same genre, have joined forces to bring to the big screen the eagerly anticipated family picture that features an all-star cast led by Bong Revilla, who plays the title role Exodus, his father, Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr., his half-brother Ram; and his kids, Brian and Jolo.

    Dondon Monteverde and acclaimed director Erik Matti’s Reality Entertainment took a bow with the horror movie "Pa-Siyam." As executive producer, Monteverde brings to "Exodus" his vast experience in line-producing films both in the Philippines and abroad. Meanwhile, Matti, who directs "Exodus," is highly-praised director both here and abroad, with an impressive record as writer-director of "Pedro Penduko 2," "Gagamboy," "Mano Po" and "Pa-Siyam."

    They’ve left no stone unturned in making "Exodus" a movie event. They poured in more than P70 million into the project. The costume and prosthetics alone of Tikbalang Tayho (played by former PBA star Benjie Paras) cost more than P500,000. The movie’s special effects were processed by Ignite Media, headed by Dave Hukom. In-charge of cinematography is Lyle Sacris, an award-winning MTV director with two feature films to his credit.

    Serving as inspiration of the movie is Enchanted Kingdom, the country’s premier theme park.

    Scriptwriter Dwight Gaston brings to life icons of Filipino folklore (tikbalang, manananggal) in fight scenes set at scenic location in Cavite, Laguna and Quezon, including the mysterious caves of Tanay, Rizal.

    Before the shooting, Bong was trained by famous fight coordinator Philip Ko. Ko flew in a team of 12 stuntmen who helped choreograph the intense battle scenes.

    On the strength of the reputation of its stars and producers alone, "Exodus" was bought by a producer who will show the movie in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

    Beside Bong and Benjie Paras, the "Exodus" cast includes BJ "Tolits" Forbes, Aubrey Miles, Iya Villania, Phoemela Barranda, Paolo Bediones, Long Mejia, and Jay-R.

    "Exodus" also boasts of A-list people behind the production, including Von de Guzman as musical scorer, Edrie Ocampo as visual FX supervisor, Alecks Estrada as editor, Richard Somes as production designer and Adrian Torres as costume designer.

    The movie’s associate producers are Edwin Reyes and Joven Tan; with Rowena Mendiola and Grace Monteverde as supervising producers; Marlon Bautista, Dondon Monteverde, Dave Hokum, Andrea Bautista-Ynares and Dennis Mendiola as executive producers.

    as always, in the promotion of the film- here's the general storyline I picked up from the newspapers: in an enchanted kingdom there is a mercenary named Exodus who was hired by Haring Bagulbol to capture 4 magical beings, the Elementals, who have control over nature.*

    OT::
    @flame alchemist, actually mark cabaluna was the audio director and sound editor for the film bong revilla's Agimat which garnered him a FAMAS for best sound direction, of course.. it was also the first Filipino film rendered with digital sound which worked great in theaters but kind of got lost in translation to VCD format.

    jerrold tarug too was invovled in composing the music for Agimat.

    I'm not sure if mark is involved in Exodus... he could be since he worked in Agimat with Bong Revilla. I'll ask him if ever I see him again
