I am now applying for a Broadband Internet. I am looking forward to your brilliant ideas here in Istorya about my connection in the Internet.

I have a 16 port HUB Surecom and Edimax Router in my network. Ang globelines misulti nako nga dili nako magkinahanglan ug Router tungod kay naa na daw sila DSL Modem Router nga i connect sa HUB for my internet. Pero nasayangan ko sa akong Router kay mahal man gud to palit nako unya wala lang diay nako magamit.

Gusto unta nako gamiton pero aware lang pod ko sa advise sa taga globelines nga mohinay kono ang internet pag naa pay router. Angay ba kaha silang sundon?

HUB===>ROUTER===>DSL MODEM

OR

HUB===>DSL MODEM

Globelines ang akong ISP Pohon... Please advise....

dsl modem w/ router => hub
basin ang ihatag dsl modem w/ router...so no need for another router...

YEP.. globe provides MODEM w/ ROUTER.... But you may still use your newly purchased Router (edimax) at this setup:

DSL MODEM/ROUTER -> Edimax ROUTER ->Surecom 16port HUB/Switch ->Client PCs

or if you will not choose to use the Edimax ROUTER at this setup:

DSL MODEM/ROUTER ->Surecom 16port HUB/Switch ->Client PCs

im not sure if it will really slow down your NET if you will use another router. my idea for this thing is just dont turn on the firewall on the MODEM/ROUTER.... but if ever mohinay, GAMAY lang jud... Routers are intended to route the Traffic wisely and as fast as it can. -_-

bro, another hops na sb if you put your own router. meaning, dugang na sb ug distance metric sa imo lan to internet. that's why globe provide u a dsl modem/ router para dli naka mo palit ug router.
